Pitch Maintenance Services Ltd.
With the very nature of our unpredictable climate in the United Kingdom; artificial grass, polymeric and tarmacadam surfaces are becoming a more widely accepted alternative to playing on natural turf. 3G artificial turf pitches are now approved for use in lower league football divisions and consequently their usage has filtered down to many members of the public in schools and leisure facilities. The positive drainage properties eliminate mud altogether, provide consistent playing performance and as a result generate year-round revenue for schools, leisure centres, local authorities and the like.
Although non-turf facilities can be used year-round, regular maintenance of your sports facility is vital to maximise playing performance and pro-long the life-span. The artificial grass may not grow like natural turf, but the surface requires regular brushing to maintain eveness and decompact the infill materials, keep weeds at bay, and monitor and repair seams joining each roll of artificial turf. The same principle applies to hard court tarmac and synthetic soft play surfaces, which are particularly susceptible to weeds and moss which over time deteriorate the surface. Proof of a consistent and regular maintenance plan is often required to maintain FIFA and FIH national standards for play, to enable pitches to be hired out to external users.
At Pitch Maintenance Services Ltd. we provide a free of charge no obligation site survey to assess your facility needs and user requirements, to achieve a structured maintenance plan. In our experience we understand that many facilities are in use upwards of 12 hours per day by various user groups, so we organise dates for the year in advance to avoid interfering with your schedule.
All works are carried out with in-house personnel, with a report compiled on completion of each visit to monitor your facility throughout its lifespan. All staff are trained in first aid and hold CSCS site safety accrediation and a DBS safeguarding check for working in schools.
